Woman of Courage
Born into a severely abusive family, Amira Perera ran away from home at an early age and encountered a world that was equally cold, cruel and unloving. Pushed to the brink of suicide, Perera instead redeemed herself. Perera is now committed to sharing her story with all who will benefit from it. Abuse, racism, abandonment and extreme health issues have all conspired against Perera in her life. She has suffered greatly but through her trials she has been greatly strengthened in her confidence and perseverance.
